CDFAI Fellow

SCOT ROBERTSON

Dr. Robertson is an Associate Professor at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.  He teaches courses in international relations, strategic studies and military history.

Prior to taking up a teaching position in 2002, he was a Defence Scientist with the Department of National Defence, serving in a variety of posts and a variety of capacities for about 14 years. These included the Army Staff at Fort Frontenac, the VCDS Branch and ADM(Policy) at National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa.

He holds degrees in political studies and military and international history. His present research interests focus on national security policymaking, military transformation, Canadian defence policy, and military theory.
