2008 Conference

In October CDFAI hosted its 2008 Annual Ottawa
Conference, “Canada & the United States: What Does it Mean to be
Good Neighbours?” The speakers at this conference sought to shed
light on a number of cross-border issues and develop amicable
solutions where possible. A conference paper was written to
challenge attendees on these important issues and a national poll
was conducted around this topic.
CDFAI was pleased to
work with recurring partners as well as some new partners: the
Canadian International Council (CIC); Centre d’études des politiques
étrangères et de Sécurité, Université du Québec à Montréal; the
Centre for Security and Defence Studies at Carleton University;
Queen’s University; Université Laval; and the Woodrow Wilson
International Centre for Scholars Canada Institute.
