CDFAI Conferences

INTRODUCTION

Since 2002 CDFAI has hosted annual conferences in Ottawa around critical issues in Canadian defence and foreign policy. These conferences have grown over the years and have consistently attracted high-calibre speakers, key policy makers, academics, and others interested in this field.
 

2008 ANNUAL CONFENERCE

The 2008 Annual Ottawa Conference will be held on Monday, October 27 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The conference will focus on what it means for Canada and the United States to be good neighbours. The panels will examine issues that have been problems between the two countries and recommend solutions where applicable.

Along with keynote addresses, there will be four panels:

1. Territorial Resource Issues;

2. Multilateralism, Unilateralism, and Spheres of Influence;

3. North American Defence Issues; and

4. Border Issues.
