The End of the Hillier Era

No Canadian guns,
no Afghan reconstruction

After visiting Afghanistan in March on a DND sponsored fact finding
tour, David Bercuson wrote this article highlighting the critical
need for the Canadian military presence in that country. He argues
that without the protection Canadian troops provide Afghans against
the Taliban, reconstruction efforts in some parts of the country
would be impossible.
