Europe and North America. Good site with links and information on
nuclear proliferation, European security and other issues.
Brookings
The Brookings Institute is the United States' oldest research
institute mainly dealing with issues pertaining to U.S. Foreign Policy
and American institutions. Good site with access to the "research
institute Times" and other publications.
CATO
A Public Policy Institute based in Washington, D.C. Great site with
access to their publications library and links to congressional
speeches and testimony.

CDA -- The Conference of Defence
Associations
The aim of the CDA, with a membership of over 600,000, is to
contribute to beneficial defence policy and effective armed forces. It
seeks to achieve this objective through a combination of advice to
government and public information.
CDI
The Center for Defense Information in Washington, D.C. Includes online
version of the weekly "Defense Monitor" as well an Arms tracking
database. Good Site with mostly U.S. information.
CISS
The Canadian Institute of Strategic Studies. The CISS provides the
forum for, and is the vehicle to stimulate the research, study,
analysis and discussion of the strategic implications of major
national and international issues, events and trends as they affect
Canada.
CSIS
The Center for Strategic and International Studies. Like the ad
says..."A public policy institute dedicated to analysis and policy
impact." Great site with a keyword searchable database, full text
issues of periodicals including the weekly "CSIS Watch" and
"International Communications in Brief".
The Dominion
Institute
The Institute was founded in 1997 by a group of young people concerned
about the state of Canada's public memory and its effect informed
discourse. Over the last four years the Institute has
focused its efforts on conducting original research into Canadians'
knowledge of the country's past and building innovative programs, like
the Great Canadian Questions - that broaden appreciation of the
richness and complexity of Canadian history. The Dominion
Institute is a national, non-partisan, charitable organization.

ECSS
The George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. A site
ostensibly dedicated to stabilizing and strengthening post-Cold War
Europe through research and instruction. Links to the 3 main divisions
of the center as well a database of past publications and current
documents.

FMSO
The Foreign Military Studies Office at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. A
good source for articles and papers on Geo-Strategic Issues around the

Hoover Institute
The Hoover Institute from Stanford University. Includes access
to the Hoover Digest - Research and Opinion on Public Policy.
Hudson Institute
Hudson Institute is an internationally recognized public policy
research organization that forecasts trends and develops solutions for
governments, businesses and the public. Founded in 1961 by the late
Herman Kahn, the Indianapolis-based not-for-profit 501(c)(3)
organization has more than 70 researchers and employees at its eight
offices worldwide.
IISS
The International Institute for Strategic Studies. Includes
information on current publication and research as well as various
other information on the institute.
INSS
The Institute for National Strategic Studies (INSS) was established in
July 1984 as an interdisciplinary research institute staffed by senior
civilian and military analysts from all four US Services.
Publications, Wargames research and simulation center and other useful
information.
ISN
The International Relations and Security Network at the Center for
Security Studies in Zurich. A daily updated clearinghouse for
resources in security, defence, peace, conflict and international
relations. Excellent site that includes a searchable database with
other links.
OAS
The Organization of American States. It is the principal forum in the
hemisphere for dialogue on political, economic
and social issues in the Western Hemisphere. Includes links to public
information, current issues and a list of member states and observers.

RAND
The famous California institute that conducts research into a wide
variety of issues and areas. Online research briefs, papers and the
"RAND Research Review".

SIPRI
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. A good site with
a searchable database into various research areas: arms transfers,
military technology, etc. Allows access to online publications and
overviews of current and past SIPRI Yearbooks.
Stimson Center
The Henry L. Stimson Center. An excellent resource for everything from
Foreign Policy to Non-Proliferation. Includes access to various
on-line projects currently underway.

The Strategic Studies Institute. A basic page with access to
publications and information related to U.S. National Security and

The World Trade Organization homepage. The World Trade Organization
(WTO), established on 1 January 1995, is the legal and institutional
foundation of the multilateral trading system. It provides the
principal contractual obligations determining how governments frame
and implement domestic trade legislation and regulations. Links to
